Portrait of the 'Burcht van Leiden'
Portrait of the ‘Burcht van Leiden’ viewed from the starboard quarter. The fore course and mizzen are loosed; the fore and main topsails are hoised; the main yard is acockbill; a flag is at the main. The 'Burcht van Leiden', 48 guns, was built in Amsterdam and chartered to Denmark 1666-67. She was last mentioned in 1674.
The hull is offset from PAF6837 (which is itself an offset worked up). The masts and sails, the ports and corrections to the heights of the counters have been made in pencil. The drawing has been rubbed on the back over the masts and sails (but not over the hull), an offset presumably having been taken from these parts.
