Two English ships close-hauled and another before the wind

On the left, viewed from before the port beam, a small ship before the wind under fore course, topsails and main topgallant. On the right, viewed from the lee bow, two ships ahead of each other, close-hauled on the port tack under the same sail as the first ship.
