A near view of a small ship seen from slightly before the starboard beam before a light breeze under fore course, mizzen and topsails. On her port bow, a ship close-hauled on the port tack.

This is and unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Younger. It has been inscribed ‘son ligte’, indicating the direction of the sun.
