A Wijdschip before the wind

A starboard broadside view of a wijdschip before the wind with a smalschip close-hauled on the starboard tack on her port quarter. There are other ships and vessels in the background.

This is a pencil and wash drawing by the Younger which has been strengthened with pen and brown ink. It has been signed, though this may be a false signature, ‘W.V.VJ.’
