Cornwall (1815)

A whole plate negative. A fair quality slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the boys' reformatory ship Cornwall (1815) at moorings in Long Reach, River Thames, off Purfleet, Essex. The boys are climbing the ratlines and the ship is flying the red ensign at the fore and mizzen tops and the mizzen gaff, a pilot jack at the bow and her name pennant at the main top. A large awning with side screens is covering the poop.
