House flag, Gulf Line Ltd
The house flag of Furness Withy & Co Ltd, London (Gulf Line Ltd). The flag is made of wool bunting, machine sewn with a linen hoist. A rope and wooden toggle is attached. Inscribed on the hoist: 'ST SIMLA' (1916) bought from Wilhelmsen, Tonsberg and managed by Furness Withy during the First World War.
