Hour-glass
A 30-minute glass. It has a red sand filling, probably powdered red sandstone. The central joint between the two ampoules is covered by a brass ring. The stand is made from ivory . It has a triangular base and three supports in the shape of fluted columns with a bulbous joint half way down the columns.
