Gossamer (1890)
A 12x10 negative. A starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Royal Navy torpedo gunboat Gossamer (1890) at anchor in berth D14 at Spithead for the Diamond Jubilee Naval Review. She is dressed overall, her seaboat davits are empty and a crewman is making a semaphore signal from the starboard side of the bridge. The ship's berth number D14 is on a board on the starboard bridge wing. Fort Gilkicker is in the right background. Although this is said to be on the day of the review this is in doubt because none of the torpedo boat destroyers in Line F are present between the Gossamer (1890) and the shore.
