Hour-glass

A 60-minute ship's glass filled with light beige coloured sand. It has a wooden stand with six carved supports, and red paint on the edge of the bases. There are holes in the base plates: these are for attaching a rope becket (loop of rope) so that the glass could be hung from a beam, where it would be less affected by the ship's motion.
