From Waterloo Bridge
A calm contemplative image of the Thames taken from Waterloo Bridge, looking downstream. The morning sun casts a brilliant glow which is reflected on the surface of the water. The bridge in the distance is probably Cannon Street, built in 1863. The buildings on the left include Walker’s shot tower and the Red Lion Brewery. Lighters are shown moored on the river and a barge is visible in the foreground with the mast lowered as it prepares to go under the bridge. Signed by artist.
