The French corvette 'Fortune' running before the wind
Inscribed (in German and English): “The french corvet [sic] “Fortune” running bevor [sic] the wind”. A rather better version of the picture published by F Lenz (where before is also misspelt “bevor”; see PAH0851), cropped to an oval format.
