This coloured lithograph depicts the US Navy’s ship of the line, Pennsylvania, in port broadside view, under full sail on a starboard tack. She is flying the American flag from her stern and a pennant from her main mast. Many figures can be seen on deck. Two small cutters are hoisted on their davits. The muzzles of the cannons can be seen through her open gun ports. Various other sailing vessels can be seen in the far distance.
