A starboard near broadside view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the United States Navy protected cruiser Minneapolis (1893) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. she has awnings rigged over her forecastle and forward of the mainmast. One of her boats is alongside the accommodation ladder. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background.
