Royal Navy tug Seahorse (1880)

A 12x10 negative. A starboard broadside view of the twin screw tug Seahorse (1880) under way off the south or south-east coast of England. She is flying the white ensign, making smoke from her original short funnels and her steam pipes are level with the tops of her funnels. She is armed with two 6 pounder guns on the forecastle. There is a long line of low cliffs in the background. Sje has a black hull with a white riband. A light line is running from her stern, probably her speed log rather than a towline.
