A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the United States Navy wooden screw sloop VANDALIA (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is ship rigged with three yards on each mast and she has awnings rigged over her deck amidships. Tilbury is in the background.
