Akaroa (1881)

A whole plate negative. A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted barque rigged vessel Akaroa (1881) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has painted ports and is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals. She is flying the blue peter and a crewman is adjusting the fore lower topsail. Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1323 and G1741 were taken on the same occasion.
