BESSY; A port bow view; At quayside, Port Erin. Distant and obscured
by fishing boat CT.83 alongside. Francis Frith Negative No.35921. There are two possibilities for this vessel. One built at Prince Edward Island in 1846 owned by J A Torrance and registered in Douglas. The other built at Castletown in 1862 owned by Mrs E. Corlett and registered at Castletown.; Looking north from high ground above the pier with the schooner
BESSY (1846 or 1862), nickey CT.83 and 2 nobbies (2.CT and CT.45) alongside the pier. 2 cutters are drying sails at moorings. Francis Frith & Co negative no. 35921.
