Head and shoulders of a fisherman in sou'wester

An oil sketch drawn by William Lionel Wyllie. It depicts the head and shoulders of a fisherman. The shoulders appear unfinished. The man appears to be a fisherman. He is wearing a black sou’wester and what appears to be a black coat and grey shirt. White patches on the sou’wester indicate that it is reflecting the sun. The man has a full brown beard and moustache and a ruddy complexion. Not all the features of the man are clear; he may have closed eyes or his eyes may not have been depicted in detail. The sketch has been done in a loose and expressive style.
