A Village on the Coast Seen from the Sea, Northern France
Although the village is not identified it is likely to be on the coast of northern France which Wyllie knew intimately. It is probable that this sketch was made from Wyllie’s yawl 'Ladybird' which had been built at Boulogne in 1873 from which he also worked in Holland and on the Thames.
