Carlisle Castle (1868)
A whole plate negative. A starboard side view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Carlisle Castle (1868) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and no royals. Her royal masts are fidded. She has a dark painted hull and figurehead. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background. Negatives numbers G2013 and G2253 were taken on the same occasion.
