Sheep with their lambs
A monochromatic grey wash drawing by William Lionel Wyllie. A flock of sheep are depicted moving through a field with their lambs. The flock follows a snaking path up the sloping hill, while lambs are depicted stopping to suckle milk from their mothers. Splashes of darker pigment denote shadows formed by the figures. Very small, faint brown water marks are visible on the surface of the work.
