Derwent (1884)

A 12x10 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged general cargo sailing vessel Derwent (1884) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has painted ports and is rigged with double topsails, double topgallants and single royals. She is flying the blue peter and a few men are in the rigging preparing to get under sail. She is loaded down to her marks. Tilbury Fort gatehouse is in the background.
