Eastern Monarch (1874)
A whole plate negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Eastern Monarch (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, prior to her maiden voyage to Lyttelton, New Zealand. She is rigged with double topsails, double topgallants, single royals and a main skysail. She also has a main spencer. Tilbury is in the background.
