A galjoot with the Dutch fleet

A port-quarter view of a galjoot with only her mainsail and topsail set, running with the wind to starboard, with a boat crowded with people just astern and three other galjoots in the middle distance. Ships of a Dutch (van) squadron lie beyond with a vice-admiral on the left and an admiral on the right.

This work is one of a group of nine drawings (PAD0704, PAD0705,
PAD0706, PAF6777, PAF6778, PAF6779, PAF6780, PAF6781, PAF6782) which, by subject and watermark, probably relate to de Ruyter's voyage to Bergen in autumn 1665.
