Ferdinand (1868)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Ferdinand (1868) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals and her jib-boom is run in. The Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847) is drawn up on the Tilbury shore in the right background. Negatives numbers G2054 and G2263 were taken on the same occasion.
