Hampshire (1870)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the 3 masted barque rigged vessel Hampshire (1870) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and single royals and is flying the blue peter and her houseflag. She has painted ports and her vertical accommodation ladder is deployed amidships. A 2 masted topsail schooner is at anchor on the right and Tilbury is in the background. Negatives numbers G1782 and G2015 were taken on the same occasion.
