J M Joshua (1864)

A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel J M Joshua (1864) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals and is flying Green's Blackwall Line houseflag, presumably while on charter. She is also flying a blue peter. She has painted ports and wooden rails on the forecastle and poop. Tilbury is in the background.
