Medway (1902)
A 12x10 negative. A port very near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the 4 masted barque rigged general cargo and cadet training sailing vessel Medway (1902) under tow in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. Her anchors are in the water, she has painted ports and she is rigged with double topsails and a single topgallant. The upper topgallant and her royals appear to have been sent down. She is flying the blue peter. The bow tug is out of the picture and another tug is alongside her starboard side. Tilbury Docks and the Tilbury Hotel are in the background.
