Orient (1889)
A half plate negative. The 3 masted ship rigged general cargo vessel Orient (1889) at mooring buoys in No. 1 Dock at Barry. She is in ballast and has painted ports. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals. The Orient (1889) arrived 19 July and sailed 23 September 1892. In the foreground is the stern of the steamship Camellia (1878), in port 20 -27 August. Alongside the far berths, from left to right, are the steamships Tynehead (1890) in port 20-27 August and Cookham (1890) in port 23-26 August, and the barque Lucknow (1891) in port 22-27 August. On the right is the stern of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Persian (1878) who sailed on 25 August 1892.
