A 12x10 negative. A distant starboard broadside view of the 3 masted ship rigged general cargo sailing vessel Patriarch (1869) under tow in Gravesend Reach, River Thames bound down. The tug is not in the picture. She has been refitted and her fore and main topgallant yards have been doubled. She has pole topmasts and telescopic topgallant masts. Tilbury is in the background.
