Renown (1860)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Renown (1860) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. she is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals and has painted ports. A bawley is on the left, drying her nets. The Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847) is drawn up on the Tilbury shore in the background. Negatives numbers G2240 and G2255 were taken on the same occasion.
