Surat (1863)
A whole plate negative. A distant starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Surat (1863) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals. Tilbury is in the background. She is about to depart for New Zealand and was wrecked on her landfall in New Zealand 31 December 1873.
