Underley (1866)
A whole plate negative. A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Underley (1866) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals and is preparing to depart for Melbourne, Australia, with passengers and general cargo. Tilbury is in the background. On the way down Channel the ship ran ashore in Luccumbe Bay, Isle of Wight on 26 September 1871.
