Gloria (1898); Sirdar (1898)
A half plate negative. A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the general cargo spritsail rigged barge Sirdar (1898) under sail in the Thames estuary during the Thames Barge Match. She is on the port tack. To port of the Sirdar (1898) is the Gloria (1898) which is also on the port tack. A laden topsail barge is at anchor on the left of the picture. A vertical format negative.
