Rathbale (1896)
A 12x10 negative. A starboard bow view of the spritsail rigged topsail barge Rathbale (1896) under sail in the Thames Estuary during the Thames Barge Match. Her crew are in whites, she has a white jib sail and she has her race number flag on her forestay. Her leeboards are down and she is the starboard tack. Her hull is painted light blue with a dark blue wale. The Rathbale (1896) was one of the first steel barges to participate in a Thames Barge Match. A vertical format image.
