Rathbale (1896)
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the spritsail rigged topsail barge Rathbale (1896) under sail in the Thames Estuary during the Thames Barge Match. Her crew are in whites, she has a white jib sail and she has her race number flag on her forestay. Her leeboards are up and she is the starboard tack. Her hull is painted light blue but the dark blue wale she carried in the 1896 Thames Barge Match has been repainted light blue to match the rest of the hull. A vertical format image.
