Thames Barge Match 1903
A 12x10 negative. A slightly distant port bow view of six spritsail rigged topsail barges under sail in the Thames estuary during the Thames Barge Match. The barges are said to be, from left to right, the Sara (1902), Torment (1903), Genesta (1903) and Thelma (1901). They are all on the starboard tack in a strong north-north-east wind. The two barges on the extreme right are not identified.
