View of Hobarton from Beaulieu Lodge
This view in southern Tasmania is a lithograph (numbered 'Page 53', top right) from Mrs Augustus Prinsep's 'Illustrations to Prinsep's journal of a voyage from Calcutta to Van Diemen's Land' published by Smith, Elder and Co. (London,1833). Augustus Prinsep (1803-30) was an clerk in the East India company who unsuccessfully attempted to settle in Australia but died young.
