The Ancient Palace at Greenwich called Placentia, the Birth-place of Queen Elizabeth
This appears to be an etching reproducing James Basire's print of 1767 (PAH3294) for the Society of Antiquaries, itself from a drawing in the Bodleian Library. See also PAH3297 for a drawn version probably also after Basire or the Bodleian original, but of uncertain date. A similar image by Newton appears in Cooke and Maule's 'Historical Account of the Royal Hospital for Seamen' (2nd ed., 1789) but with a different title: see PAI0481.
