Greenwich Hospital
Vignette. A standard axial view from the Isle of Dogs, with sailing vessels, ther boats, steamers, City livery barges and a throng of people. It almost certainly shows a royal or similar visit of some sort to the Hospital. Queen Victoria only visited in 1840 but the presence of the masts of one of the 'Fame' drillships of the Hospital School, in front of the Queen's House, indicates a mid-century date after 1843.
