Unidentified day cruising cutter rigged yacht
A half plate negative. A slightly distant starboardnear broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of an unidentified day cruising cutter rigged yacht under sail in the Thames estuary. She has a black painted wooden hull with a curved rubbing strake from bow to stern. White lines are painted above the rubbing strake and along the top of the bulwark. A white painted cabin is amidships abfat the singl mast and she is rigged with a jib, staysail, loose footed gaff mainsail and gaff topsail. She is on the port tack and she has two men and two boys on board, the boys wearing striped sweaters and all four wearing cloth caps. Three spritsail barges are under sail in the background.
