Cutter rigged yachts racing on the River Thames
A 12x10 negative. Six large cutter rigged yachts racing in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. They are sailing before the wind heading upriver into Northfleet Hope. They are all on the starboard tack and the boat on the right has her foresail boomed out to starboard. The boat next to her has her boom out to starboard but the foresail is only partly set. All of the yachts have a crewman standing on the starboard mast spreader. Tilbury Ness light is in the background.
