Henricus Vroom, Harlemensis Pictor [Hendrik Vroom, Painter, of Harlem]
Text in French on reverse. The artist Boulonois is variously said to have flourished about (or sometimes been born in) 1682. This image of Hendrik [Cornelisz] Vroom (1566-1640) is one of a series by him which includes 'Gemma Phrisius' [Frisius] of Louvain and Chrisopher Clavius, PAD2344. It is somehat cruder than PAD2468 from which it may be derived. [PvdM 7/06]
