A print of Sir John Pennington, supposedly after a portrait by Cornelis van Dalen I (1602-1665). The 'Gulston Collection' refers to the print collection of Joseph Gulston (1744/45-1786), a voracious collector whos unrivalled collection of prints included 18,000 foreign and 23,500 British portraits, 11,000 British satirical and political prints, and 14,500 topographical prints.
