A group of ten Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company stewards having a sing-song round a piano in their mess on board ship. Two of the stewards are playing the piano. One of the framed photographs on the bulkhead of this mess (which is clearly visible in another photograph from this set), shows the Himalaya (1949), indicating that these men may be on board her.
