Barry, Glamorganshire

Looking south-east from Redbrink Crescent, Barry Island,
overlooking the harbour entrance. The RNLI lifeboat house and West Breakwater are on the right with the excursion steamer pontoon on the left. On the horizon are the islands of Flat Holm (left) and Steep Holm (centre) with the Somerset coast very dimly discernible beyond. A cargo steamer, either BRITISH MONARCH (1902) or ENGLISH MONARCH (1906), is leaving the harbour. Francis Frith & Co negative no. 62555.
