Sir John Leake From an Original Picture in the Trinity House
An oval half-length portrait of John Leake (1656–1720) in his own hair and a loose fitting coat. Lettered beneath the image: ‘Sir John Leake. From an Original Picture in the Trinity House. Publishd Jan 7 1800 by Edwd. Harding 98 Pall Mall.’ This print was published by Edward Harding in 1800 after an original portrait by Jonathan Richardson at the Trinity House, London, which was painted towards the end of Leake’s life.
