Tilbury Fort Watergate, Essex
A 12x10 negative. A posed group of 27 men of the Royal Garrison Artillery gathered around a 3 barrelled rifle calibre Nordenfelt gun on a two wheeled carriage outside the Watergate of Tilbury Fort. A civilian is standing at the back on the left. The stonework has been refurbished and the ornate upper part of the Watergate is not in the picture.
