Unidentified Brigantine
A half plate negative. A port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of an unidentified Faversham registered brigantine under full sail in the Thames estuary. She is in light winds and is using her entire suit of canvas except for the fore staysail. She has also set a triangular sail below her three main staysails. All of her sails have been substantially patched over time with new panels of canvas. Two pieces of cloth are hanging below and to port of her bowsprit. A vertical format negative.
