Duke of Lancaster (1874)
A whole plate negative. A starboard broadside view of the Eastern Steamship Co Ltd passenger/cargo liner Duke of Lancaster (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has a four masted rig with two yards on each of her foremast and mainmast and is flying the blue peter. She has very short steampipes ahead and abaft her funnel. She is well laden with a substantial deck cargo. Tilbury is in the background. The Duke of Lancaster (1874) was wrecked in the Red Sea 7 July 1880.
